Biography
George Sitenala Banda is a dedicated and goal-driven young professional from Dowa District in the central region of Malawi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Water Quality and Management with Credit from the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST). His academic journey provided him with strong technical and practical knowledge in environmental management, water quality monitoring, and sustainable resource use.
George has gained valuable professional experience through various roles. He worked as an intern at the Southern Region Water and Sanitation Office under the Ministry of Water and Sanitation in Blantyre, where he enhanced his skills in water resource management and environmental monitoring. He also served as an intern with the Lilongwe Water Board, gaining hands-on experience in laboratory work and wastewater management. In addition, George worked as a Physics and Chemistry teacher at Jingoring Secondary School in Lilongwe, where he inspired and mentored students to excel academically and pursue careers in science.
With a wide range of experience in water quality management, environmental conservation, laboratory analysis, and education, George is passionate about contributing to sustainable development. Motivated by his commitment to community engagement, he joined CorpsAfrica as a volunteer, where he looks forward to working closely with local communities to identify their needs and implement lasting solutions. He is eager to apply his knowledge, skills, and dedication to empower individuals and foster meaningful change.
