Cynthia Bawa is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular biology and biotechnology. She is a beneficiary of CAMFED and MasterCard Foundation scholarships.
In line with her professional journey, She has worked as a teaching and research assistant during her national service at the Department of Molecular biology and Biotechnology, UCC in 2022. She has also worked with the Exact Cure herbal clinic as a laboratory scientist.
She has an interest in community giveback and volunteerism. This has led her to volunteer with several NGOs including; CAMFED Ghana as a learner guide facilitator, Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) as an advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights(SRHR) among adolescents, and also with Akurase mpuntuo as a peer mentor.
Her passion for community development and youth empowerment led her to join CorpsAfrica, where she can develop herself and also contribute her quota towards achieving sustainable development goals.
