Biography
Riad Berdayi is the Deputy Country Director at CorpsAfrica/Maroc, where he drives institutional strengthening, government engagement, and strategic partnerships during a phase of significant national growth.
Prior to this, Riad spent over a decade as a Senior Project Manager at USAID/Morocco (2014–2025). He led a high-impact governance portfolio, notably directing the $12M Local Works program and designing the Morocco Locally Led Learning (ML3) model to advance local ownership and adaptive management. A recognized expert in civic participation, he has represented USAID at global forums like the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Summit.
Riad’s career with the U.S. Mission began in 2006 as a Political Specialist and Program Manager at the U.S. Embassy in Rabat, where he managed the MEPI Local Grants Program and provided critical policy analysis for U.S. leadership. He launched his international career at the World Bank Institute in Washington, D.C. (1999–2004), coordinating large-scale learning programs for public sector stakeholders.
Riad holds an MBA in Project Management from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Higher International Institute of Tourism in Tangier. He is fluent in Arabic, French, English, and Spanish.
