Biography

Harry Bvumbwe, from Malawi, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Political Leadership from the Catholic University of Malawi. During his service with CorpsAfrica/Malawi, he lived in a rural community in the Chikwawa District, where he witnessed the challenges residents faced in accessing healthcare services. To address these issues, he worked closely with local leaders and community members to design and implement a project that resulted in the construction of an Under-5 Clinic. This project will directly benefit 298 children under the age of five and 292 mothers by improving access to essential, quality and timely healthcare services.

Passionate about grassroots development and community empowerment, Harry is inspired by the power of people-led change. As an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/South Africa, he looks forward to the enriching experience of promoting cultural exchange, embracing the spirit of Ubuntu, and advancing the ideals of Pan-Africanism through service. He is eager to learn from and collaborate with South African communities to foster mindset change, sustainable growth, and meaningful connections across borders.
