Mariama Cham, is a vibrant young Lady who hails from Lower River Region, The Gambia. Mariama studied at Rural Development Institute (RDI), where she began her journey of self- discovery, communication, leadership among other great things. This academic foundation has shaped her career and equipped her with the skills necessary for success in her field work. Mariama had the opportunity to work with Kolomoni Microfinance Institute, A newly established microfinance in the country as a credit officer, which was another opportunity for her to build her customer relationship while service diligently and responsible. As ever committed and proactive, she was already falling in love with the job as her passion grew with the satisfaction of her dear customers and the growth of the institution. However, after a year into this amazing journey, the professional relationship discontinued when, she decided to join CorpsAfrica/ Gambia in the capacity of a Community Development Facilitator. A responsibility she believes will give her the opportunity to serve the community better thus impacting a gradual positive change in the lives and livelihood of the Community and to develop her personal and professional skills. She’s currently serving as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Suwareh Kunda, Lower Baddibu District, North Bank Region of the Gambia.
