Biography
Tobias Chawinga holds Bachelor of Arts in Social and Economic history degree from the University of Malawi (formerly Chancellor College). He is passionate about community development, youth and women empowerment. He is also an advocate for access to higher education for everyone because he believes knowledge and expertise from higher learning institutions catalyses development.
Before joining CorpsAfrica, Tobias worked as an intern in Gender and Development office at Nkhata Bay District Council, Monitoring and evaluation assistant at empower Malawi, and as enumerator at Spark Microgrants between 2023 and 2025.
He vows to contribute to positive change in the rural communities of Malawi by facilitating asset-based community led development as well as human centred design. He is looking forward to interacting with the communities, learning from them and grow personally as well as professionally.
