Biography
Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Chimwemwe Chazemba worked with the Ministry of Education as a Statistician, where she analyzed educational trends, produced reports for policy planning, and trained colleagues in data management and analysis. She has also served with organizations such as World Vision Malawi, Self Help Africa, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, gaining experience in economic research, field operations, and monitoring and evaluation of development programs.
Chimwemwe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Passionate about evidence-based policymaking and community development, she is committed to contributing to Malawi’s growth by empowering communities and supporting initiatives that align with community needs.
Chimwemwe is also passionate about applying economic knowledge to shape policies and programs that support Malawi’s national development agenda, particularly in areas such as education, agriculture, and poverty reduction. She believes that through evidence-based policymaking and inclusive development strategies, Malawi can achieve the goals outlined.
