Biography

Nora Chikonda graduated from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture. Before joining CorpsAfrica, she worked as a Research and Academic Intern in the Department of Crops and Soil Science at LUANAR, where she participated in community-based agricultural projects focused on promoting neglected and under-utilized drought-resilient crops in rural communities to support sustainable and resilient food systems. She is committed to using her knowledge to empower rural communities and strongly believes that development should come from within and be led by the people themselves.

Nora is passionate about improving the lives of people in rural areas and values the power of grassroots engagement. She hopes that her service with CorpsAfrica will provide valuable hands-on experience and deepen her understanding of the challenges rural communities face in Malawi. Nora is excited to contribute to meaningful and lasting change during her volunteer journey.
