Biography
Bizuye Gulentaw was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She completed her primary education at Furi Primary School and her secondary and preparatory education at Akaki Adventist School. Driven by a passion for patient care, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Unity University. For Bizuye, nursing is more than a profession; it is a commitment to compassion, healing, and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
She has extensive experience in various healthcare settings, most notably at Alage Rehabilitation Center, where she provided comprehensive care to patients, including military personnel wounded during the war. In this role, she demonstrated resilience, empathy, and dedication to both physical rehabilitation and emotional well-being.
In July 2025, Bizuye joined CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia, drawn by its mission of community service. She is currently participating in the Pre-Service Training program, gaining valuable skills in community engagement, sustainable development, and working collaboratively with communities to identify challenges and design solutions.
Bizuye aspires to be a catalyst for positive change, using her compassion and expertise to empower communities, promote health awareness, and improve quality of life across Ethiopia. Her journey reflects a steadfast dedication to service, empathy, and the belief that strong communities are built through care, connection, and collaboration.
