Biography

Patricia Chinthambi is a committed development professional with experience in environmental management, disaster risk reduction, food science, economic empowerment, and community data collection. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Technology, specialising in Food Science and Technology, from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).

She began her professional journey with a one-year internship in the Environment and Disaster Risk Management departments of Salima District Council, where she gained experience in training, community mobilisation, and project implementation. She also worked as an enumerator for Malawi’s National Statistical Office (NSO) during the National Agriculture Census.

Patricia served as a CorpsAfrica/Malawi Volunteer in 2025-2026, contributing to community projects focused on economic empowerment and environmental conservation. She is currently a CorpsAfrica/Senegal Volunteer, with interests in leadership, community development, and improving the economic conditions of local communities. She also enjoys online learning and volunteering.
