Biography

Samuel Nhyiraba Danquah (affectionately known as SirSammy) is a scholar-alumnus of the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from KNUST. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica/Ghana as a Volunteer, he served as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Department of Religious Studies at KNUST.

Samuel has always carried a strong passion for teaching and volunteering, which has led him to engage in several community service initiatives. As an undergraduate, he took on various leadership and volunteer roles, including serving as Organizing Secretary for the Religious Studies Students and Associates (RESSA-KNUST).

He also mobilized his colleagues to provide voluntary teaching at basic schools near the university campus during lecture-free days and holidays. Samuel is passionate about mentoring young people—especially children and teenagers—toward achieving their life goals and aspirations. He considers volunteerism both a tool for development and a meaningful way to give back to society.
