Biography

Aissatou Dieng is a territorial development and Public Policy professional with a career at the intersection of local governance, development planning, and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Local Development and Territorial Governance and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar. Her professional journey has focused on addressing territorial development challenges and supporting locally driven transformation.

With four years of professional experience, Aissatou has contributed to the development of Local Development Plans, land-use and land restructuring initiatives, as well as projects related to urban planning and environmental management. She has also been involved in studies and initiatives focused on territorial governance, civic participation, and sustainable development. These experiences have allowed her to work across institutional, local, and community-based settings, collaborating with public authorities, local stakeholders, and community actors.

She later joined CorpsAfrica/Senegal as a Volunteer, where she designed and implemented community-led initiatives focused on economic empowerment, livelihood improvement, environmental protection, and community leadership.

Her experience subsequently took on a pan-African dimension when she served as a CorpsAfrica Exchange Volunteer in Ghana. This experience broadened her perspective on development approaches and deepened her understanding of community dynamics across diverse African contexts.

Today, Aissatou serves as a Partnership and Philanthropy Associate at CorpsAfrica/Senegal, where she supports the development of strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and collaborative initiatives designed to advance high-impact community development efforts.
