Biography

Adji Anta Gaye Diop is a Project Coordinator for CorpsAfrica/Senegal. An expert in community development, she is a deeply committed young civil society activist.

Adji Anta’s journey with CorpsAfrica is fueled by a long-standing passion. As a former Cohort 3 Volunteer, she was deployed to the village of Agnam Lidoubé in northeastern Senegal. Facing local challenges, she co-created innovative, community-led solutions: a preschool paired with a permaculture space to introduce early childhood to environmental education, a community poultry project structured alongside the WFP (World Food Programme) and Heifer International, and menstrual hygiene workshops that successfully trained 145 women and girls in producing reusable sanitary pads. Drawing from this experience, she also co-founded the GIE NAAFAS with fellow alumni, a social enterprise serving as a hub for local agricultural products.

Following her volunteer service, Adji Anta expanded her institutional expertise over two years as a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) with UNFPA. There, she contributed to the implementation of the 9th Country Programme, focusing on maternal health, adolescent reproductive health, and gender equality. Her leadership also drove her to engage with the National Youth Alliance for Reproductive Health (specifically on the NAFORÉ project) and advocate for the accountability of GFF (Global Financing Facility) funding.

Adji Anta holds a bachelor degree in Philosophy from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar human and pedagogical skills that she frequently leveraged to volunteer as a tutor for high school seniors preparing for their baccalaureate exams in her deployment areas. She is currently completing her profile with a Master’s degree in Project and Public Policy Evaluation at The (CESAG) in English to the African Centre for Higher Studies in Management. CESAG. Concurrently, she serves on the Youth Sounding Board of the European Union Delegation to Senegal, where she works to ensure the effective integration of youth and women’s priorities into international cooperation programs.
