Biography
Joyeuse Dushimirimana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialisation in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB).
Beyond academics, Joyeuse is deeply committed to volunteering and social impact. She has continuously engaged in community service, focusing on youth empowerment, self-development, and digital literacy. Her passion lies in showing young Rwandans how technology can be applied to improve lives and create opportunities. Having personally experienced the challenges of an unwanted pregnancy during high school, she has transformed that difficult moment into a source of strength and motivation. With the support of her community, she bounced back and now uses her experience to advocate for resilience, solidarity, and the importance of supportive environments for young people.
She is proud to contribute to the success of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), mainly through promoting literacy, facilitating locals to graduate from poverty, and encouraging WASH in her community. She is very excited to embark on this amazing journey of serving as a CorpsAfrica/Rwanda Volunteer and providing for underprivileged communities in the Rulindo district, as she adores discovering new cultures and blending in with new people.
