Biography
Zemenay Kifile Kassie is a dedicated health professional and community development advocate from Debre Tabor, in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from the University of Gondar. Her education journey was shaped by resilience, having transferred from Mekelle University due to the northern conflict in Ethiopia.
After graduating, she volunteered at a local health center, providing maternal and child health services. She then worked for nearly a year as a data collector at the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health, contributing to critical health research. Her passion for serving others led her to join CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia Group 3, where she now works closely with rural communities to support sustainable, locally-driven development projects.
Zemenay’s work aligns with CorpsAfrica’s mission to empower young Africans to be agents of change within their own countries, promoting leadership, empathy, and community-led progress. She continues to inspire with her commitment to health equity, grassroots development, and social impact.
