Biography

Loveness Gama is a dedicated agronomist with a Bachelor’s degree from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). With a strong passion for sustainable agriculture and food security, she has worked as a Crop Officer Intern at Salima District Agriculture Office, ProAgro Youth Intern at Sir Hackson Processors, a Research Assistant at the Center for Research and Development (CARD), and a Seed Scientist at Lifuwu Rice Research Station. These experiences have deepened her understanding of the challenges rural communities face in securing food security.

As a mentor at Youth Empowerment Support Initiative, Loveness empowers secondary school students to reach their full potential. Growing up in a rural community herself, she has a deep understanding of the community’s needs and believes that society is like a garden that requires nurturing and care.

In her free time, Loveness enjoys reading books on personal and professional growth, which fuels her passion for continuous learning and self-improvement.

As a Volunteer in the CorpsAfrica G9 cohort, Loveness is eager to live and work alongside community members, fostering meaningful relationships and co-creating solutions to address pressing community needs. She is committed to listening, learning, and collaborating with others to drive positive change and support sustainable development in Africa.
