Biography


Tewelde Gereziher Geremeanta is a self-driven individual, climate champion, and passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and community empowerment through Human-Centered Design (HCD). He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Science from Mekelle University, Ethiopia, where he earned a prestigious scholarship from the Mekelle Institute of Technology (MIT).

Tewelde’s journey of service began with the Kefeta Project, where he contributed as an advocate, delivering capacity-building training, organizing events, and supporting data management. His dedication to grassroots development and empowerment led him to join CorpsAfrica Ethiopia as a volunteer. During his service, he embraced the Community-Led Development (CLD) approach, working across multiple sectors including environmental sustainability, food security, education, health, agriculture, and climate resilience. Notably, he facilitated an impactful health post project in the Fango community in South Ethiopia by engaging community members, development partners, and local community members, leaving a lasting contribution to community well-being.

Currently, Tewelde is a CorpsAfrica/Kenya Exchange Volunteer to expand his impact across Africa. His mission is to continue championing climate action, advancing community-led initiatives, and inspiring sustainable development across the continent.
