He was an education-obsessed boy, a competitive student from primary to secondary school, committed to studying well in his field of study at college, and eager to contribute to his country through the profession he studied at college, but pressures from diverse circumstances forced him to follow a path in which he could not find Joy and fulfilment from within. He now believes that he is at the right place and at the right time to fight for what motivates him from within. This is who Hayu Nagessa Godana is.
Hayu graduated from Arba Minch University with a surveying engineering degree in 2023. He completed his internship program at Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation [ECDSWC], where he acquired critically important work and professional experience, as well as discovered the value of serving or giving to his country, which needs dedication and commitment.
Both before and following graduation, he participated in many temporary local volunteering activities as well as in various levels of schools. These initiatives provided the groundwork for volunteerism, which has now evolved into Community-led Development [CLD] advocacy. Today he is serving as CLD facilitator at CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia in the Jimma zone of Oromia, Ethiopia.
