Biography

‎I grew up in a rural society surrounded by people who knew of giving unconditional care and support with unlimited kindness and love. I grew up looking up to my elders, strong men and women with different kinds of skills to provide for their family and community. I finished my primary and secondary level education at Gondar with the motive of growing up to be a successful and resilient woman to give back and return to the society to the children and adults that shaped me into who I am today.
I was successful in class and scored good marks which helped me pass my university entrance exam. I remember the day I heard the news that I was assigned to join hawassa university. At one side i was sad thinking i have to leave my strong mother and sister but on the other side i was full of ambition and moral that makes me strive each and every day for succeeding and helping others like me infact i wanted to be a role model to all the women out there to reach further and aim for the stars.
So I spent 4 years at hawassa university and graduated with a BA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Back at campus I was part of a club called Merahit which aims at helping to empower women and children by providing essential support for them both morally and financially.
I worked as a customer service Officer and sales before i joined Corps Africa/Ethiopia for me being part of this organisation means the dream of that little girl with all those hopes coming true and also it’s a starting of a big journey ahead of me i have learnt so much and encountered different kinds of people at my time with Corps Africa/Ethiopia, I shared and experienced many kinds of cultures, thoughts and personalities as a fellow volunteer well this is all what humanity is all about caring for one another and cherishing every good moment in life. Currently i have finished my training as a volunteer in Corps Africa/Ethiopia and ready to embark with my journey as a volunteer at Wolaita Sodo but remember this is my first step to becoming what i dreamt of becoming as a little girl a woman who will stand up with humanity and help people in need worldwide.
