Biography
Lydia Gwehona is passionate about health promotion, community development and social impact. She is a Mental Health Advocate and a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. Her work centers on empowering communities through health literacy and public health initiatives.
Lydia connects Policy, Communication and Education in driving community led solutions. She bridges the gap between complex health information and communities who need it most through designing, implementing and evaluating health education programs.
At Global Hart, she designed and developed a menstrual health educational toolkit for grassroots organizations, creating structured project plans and content frameworks to improve community health education delivery.
Her internship experience at Nyeri County Teaching and Referral Hospital developed her clinical skills and worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care improvements that enhanced patient outcomes. Currently serving as a Volunteer in Baringo County with CorpsAfrica/Kenya.
