Biography
Tidiane Hamidou is a lawyer specializing in human rights and humanitarian action, committed to promoting community development and social justice. He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law, Business Career, as well as a Master’s in Public Law with a specialization in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Université Alassane Ouattara. He is also certified by the Fondation René Cassin in conflict prevention and management and international human rights law.
Before joining CorpsAfrica/Côte d’Ivoire, Tidiane gained diverse professional experience across several institutions and organizations, including the Plateforme de la société civile pour la paix et la démocratie as an assistant on the GIZ Justice Project, the Embassy of Niger in Côte d’Ivoire as a litigation officer, the Conseil National des Droits de l’Homme, and a justice commissioner’s office as a legal advisor. These experiences strengthened his skills in legal analysis, project management, institutional partnerships, and community mobilization.
Driven by a desire to serve grassroots communities, he joined the first cohort of CorpsAfrica/Côte d’Ivoire. He currently serves as a Volunteer in northern Côte d’Ivoire, in the village of Nongotiokaha, under the Sub-Prefecture of Napié, where he works as a catalyst, facilitator, and learner. On the ground, he supports communities in identifying their priorities and implementing community development actions, while also leading awareness-raising activities and promoting human rights.
Tidiane Hamidou is recognized for his professionalism, sense of responsibility, and ability to operate effectively in multicultural contexts, all in service of inclusive and sustainable development.
