Iscandar Ibrahim Yakubu
Training Officer
Biography

Ibrahim Yakubu Iscandar is a development professional with over 15 years of experience in training, capacity building, and community-centered program delivery across Ghana. He has designed and led workshops, seminars, field days, and farmer education programs that translate technical knowledge into practical skills for communities, extension agents, and partner institutions. He currently serves as the Training Officer for CorpsAfrica/Ghana.

Ibrahim’s career combines technical advisory work, community engagement, and program management. He has worked with GIZ, AgDevCo, and AGRA-Ghana, where he trained and supported extension agents, grantees, and smallholder farmers. He also developed stakeholder engagement plans and grievance mechanisms, managed demonstration farms, and strengthened links between communities, government agencies, and development partners. Earlier roles in development finance and agribusiness further strengthened his skills in monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and project appraisal. He speaks Dagbani, Twi, and Ewe, which helps him build trust and communicate clearly in the communities he serves.

He holds an MSc in Project Management and Community Development from the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, a BSc in Agricultural Technology from the University for Development Studies, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management from the Graduate Training Institute. Before joining CorpsAfrica, he worked as a Program Management Officer at AGRA-Ghana, where he supported seed systems and agricultural transformation programs funded by partners such as USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, KfW, and the Mastercard Foundation.
