Biography
Gislaine Ikomeze is a Nutritionist, Researcher, and Community Development Practitioner from Rwanda with a strong background in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, holding a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rwanda with distinction (80.21%). She has contributed to impactful projects with organisations such as “Laterite” as a Data Collector and “Gikuriro Kuri Bose” under “Catholic Relief Services”, gaining valuable experience in research, program implementation, and community engagement.
Currently serving as a CorpsAfrica/Rwanda Volunteer, Gislaine applies human-centred and asset-based approaches to empower communities, strengthen local leadership, and promote sustainable development. She is passionate about leveraging data and evidence-based solutions to improve nutrition, public health, and livelihoods.
Her journey reflects not only strong academic performance and professional experience but also resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to serving people. Gislaine’s vision is to continue growing as a leader in public health, nutrition, and community development, contributing to policies and programs that create lasting impact in Rwanda and beyond.
