Didier Impano has an academic background in renewable energy, which has given him the skills to design and implement clean energy solutions such as solar home systems and clean cooking technologies. While these technologies are technical in nature, their real impact is only realized when communities are meaningfully engaged in shaping and adopting them. His approach has therefore always been to place people at the center of energy interventions, ensuring that solutions are not just technically sound but also community-driven, inclusive, and sustainable.

The mandate of CorpsAfrica strongly resonates with his career aspirations because of its focus on community-led development, He sees CorpsAfrica as a platform where development strategies can be applied within a framework that prioritizes community ownership and empowerment. To enhance his ability to serve, He is in the final month of pursuing a 7-month long Data Analytics program through Mastercard-supported ALX Africa, which will allow him to use evidence-based insights to support communities in identifying needs, tracking progress, and amplifying their impact. By combining technical expertise, community engagement, and analytical skills, He is committed to advancing development that is led by and for the communities themselves.
