Biography

Jean Luc Mulisa Iradukunda is a graduate of the University of Rwanda, where he earned a degree in Crop Production with a Second Class Upper Division. His academic background equipped him with strong agricultural knowledge, which he has continuously applied to serve and uplift his community.

His journey in volunteering began in 2007 during his primary school years, when he first supported his teachers by cleaning chalkboards. Though simple at the time, this early act of service marked the beginning of a lifelong passion for helping others. In secondary school, Jean Luc extended his spirit of service by coaching his classmates in volleyball, helping them prepare for school tournaments.
At university, his commitment to volunteering deepened. He assisted lecturers with research, gaining valuable knowledge and networks, and dedicated four years to coaching the university’s women’s volleyball team, leading them to first place in an inter-campus tournament.

Beyond academics, Jean Luc has consistently contributed to community initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a vital role in packing and delivering food to vulnerable households during lockdown. After graduation, he joined Kitovu Technology, an agriculture company, where he volunteered to support farmers by sharing improved farming techniques.

Currently, Jean Luc serves as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica in Rwanda – Cohort 7, part of a larger network across 10 African countries. His work continues to reflect his lifelong mission: to be useful, to support those in need, and to make a positive impact in his community.
