Biography

Marie Fabrice Irafasha holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Biology with Education from the University of Rwanda – College of Education Rukara Campus.

From a young age, Marie Fabrice demonstrated leadership and commitment to service. In primary school, she served as the hygiene representative for her fellow students. During her secondary education, she became a leader in her prayer group called Charismatic, and she was also a handball player, once contributing to her team’s victory at the district level. Her passion for music led her to join several choirs, including Saint Mathieu Choir in her ordinary level, where she served as secretary, Star Choir in the advanced level, and Etoile du Matin Choir, where she served as an advisor.

She is passionate about working with young people to help them discover their talents, which can empower them to improve their lives and She is empathetic toward everyone she works with, listens to their challenges, especially those of the less fortunate and helps them as much as she can. She gets along well with everyone and can live or work with anyone because she knows how to relate to people.

She believes that as long as someone has security or lives in a secure country, there is no reason for them not to make progress. She believes that no Rwandan should remain in poverty, but instead should strive to develop themselves, starting with what they have. These opportunities we Rwandans have should not be taken for granted, because we live in a beautiful and secure country.

Through all these experiences, Marie Fabrice has developed strong skills in leadership, collaboration, resilience, and community service. These qualities have shaped her deep passion for working with and within communities. She is eager to engage with her community, share her knowledge, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

Marie Fabrice is passionate about contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on promoting education, helping communities lift themselves out of poverty, and improving water, sanitation, and hygiene in her local area. She is especially excited to begin this journey of working with and supporting vulnerable families in Rulindo District, as she enjoys learning about new cultures and building connections with different people.
