Biography

Ayisha Issahaku hails from Tamale in Northern Ghana. She is leadership-oriented, a dedicated climate change advocate, and passionate about women’s empowerment and community development. Ayisha enjoys taking on challenges to develop personally and build new skills.

She graduated from the University for Development Studies with a Bachelor of Education in Home Economics.

Ayisha has consistently demonstrated leadership skills throughout her academic and professional journey. She has held key positions, including Gender Commissioner for the Basic Education Students Association (2022), Financial Secretary for the Entrepreneurship Club-UDS (E-Club-UDS), and Treasurer for the Kosmos Innovation Center Young Agripreneurs Forum-UDS (KIC YAF-UDS) (2023–2024).

Over the years, Ayisha has volunteered with Water-Lily Foundation, supporting communities through Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives, and with SWIDA Ghana, empowering high school girls and advocating against sexual and gender-based violence. She also served as a Lead For Ghana Associate at Battor, where she taught Biology and worked closely with students to improve their academic performance.

Motivated to further develop personally and professionally while contributing to community development, Ayisha joined CorpsAfrica to enhance her skills and experience, driving meaningful change in her community.
