Biography

Buba Jabang is a dedicated CorpsAfrica Volunteer with a strong background in Education, community development,and social engagement. He holds an Advanced Diploma Education from Gambia College, with specialization in Agricultural Science and Business Management. His academic and professional journey reflects commitment, leadership, and service to vulnerable communities across The Gambia.

Buba has gained valuable field experience serving as a District Supervisor with C Quest Capital (CQC), an award-winning global carbon project developer and social impact investor. In this role, he coordinated community engagement and activities. His work enhanced the livelihoods of women and children while promoting environmental sustainability. and supervised field teams to ensure effective operation in Wuli West District, Upper River Region.

In addition to his community development work, Buba has professional experience in education. He served as a teacher at Kudang Upper and Senior Secondary School, where he taught Agricultural Science and Business Management. He also coordinated the Agricultural Science Club and served as a Kunda Master, contributing to student mentorship, discipline, and leadership development.

Beyond his professional roles, Buba has been actively involved in youth and civil society organizations. He volunteered as Secretary of the Pipelining Youth Organization, where he was responsible for writing memos, letters, project proposals, and activity reports. He is also an executive member of Global platform LRR Chapter, he is a member of the Peace Ambassador initiative in the Lower River Region, an executive member of the Jarra Students Association at Gambia College, and a member of Amnesty International Soma Group demonstrating his commitment to peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and human rights advocacy.

Buba possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven strengths in leadership, management, and community engagement. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, he is passionate about grassroots development and is eager to apply his skills, experience, and dedication to supporting communities, promoting sustainable initiatives, and making a meaningful social impact.
