Dr. Malanding S Jaiteh has a PhD in Forest Science with over four decades of global experience in Forestry, Climate Change and Natural Resource Management. Dr. Jaiteh worked as a Geospatial Scientist at the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN), the Earth Institute at Columbia University in New York City for 17 years before returning to the Gambia in 2017 to serve as Adviser at the Ministry of Environment. D. Malanding Jaiteh currently manages the Large-scale Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Project at the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources (MECCNAR) assisting rural communities to build resilience against climate change impacts.
