Biography
Amie Joof is a CorpsAfrica Volunteer with a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of The Gambia. She has a strong foundation in community development, program management, and participatory research, with experience supporting grassroots initiatives in both urban and rural settings. Amie has contributed to impactful programs through her work with Gambia Tech Project, Women Techmakers Banjul, and national development activities, including the Gambia Census.
Driven by a passion for rural development, youth and women empowerment, and sustainable community led solutions, Amie combines strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to collaborate effectively with local communities. She is committed to translating development theory into practice by supporting inclusive, practical, and long term solutions that improve livelihoods and strengthen community resilience.
