Biography
Mercy Kagiri is a graduate of Egerton University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Human Ecology Extension. She is passionate about community development and transformation and aspires to be a change agent who contributes to meaningful change in people’s lives. Her background has taught her to look beyond one issue and understand the different factors that shape people’s lives and communities. Whether working with farmers, young people, families or members of a community, she believes it’s important to understand people within the realities they live. This perspective has shaped her desire to approach development holistically and to see communities not simply as beneficiaries, but as active participants in their own transformation. Through CorpsAfrica, she looks forward to learning from communities, working alongside them, and contributing to solutions that creat lasting impact.
