Biography
Arsene Kalisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Governance and Leadership from the University of Rwanda, where he researched the role of decentralization in promoting good governance. During his studies, he also served as Coordinator of “Beyond Success”, a leadership and personal growth initiative, through which he trained thousands of students in leadership skills and personal development. In addition, he represented students from Ngoma District and supported them in securing internship opportunities.
Passionate about community service, Arsene has dedicated much of his work to rural development and conflict resolution. In the Nasho sector, Cyambwe cell, he helped train 87 families in conflict management and reconciliation. He has also contributed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty reduction and the fight against malnutrition. His efforts include creating savings groups to promote financial inclusion and building more than eight kitchen gardens to support household nutrition in Nasho.
Currently, Arsene is excited to continue his journey of service in Ngororero District, where he aims to empower underprivileged communities and foster sustainable local development. His motivation is driven by a deep commitment to creating positive change and improving the livelihoods of rural populations.
