Biography
Romana Kamau is an Agribusiness and Climate Resilience professional from Kenya with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management and Enterprise Development from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She has over five years of experience in climate-smart agriculture, market development, capacity building, and livelihood support.
Before joining CorpsAfrica, Romana worked with smallholder farmers, supporting sustainable farming practices, market development, and improved rural livelihoods. She later served as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Kakamega County, Kenya, working alongside youth, women, farmers, and community groups to explore livelihood opportunities in agriculture, beekeeping, poultry, and other income-generating activities.
Romana is passionate about creating opportunities for people to build sustainable livelihoods from the resources and skills they already have. She is also deeply inspired by Pan-Africanism and the belief that Africans have much to learn from one another and can build stronger communities and a better future together. Through the CorpsAfrica Ghana Exchange Program, she hopes to experience this shared African identity firsthand, build meaningful connections in Nyive, learn from the community, and support young people as they pursue sustainable livelihoods and employment.
