Biography
Kuunika Kamende holds a BSc in Gender and Development Studies from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). At LUANAR, she led the Bunda Gender Club, worked with the Gender Coordinating Unit, and mentored fellow students under the World Bank SAVE Project, promoting gender equality and youth leadership.
Professionally, Kuunika has worked as a SRHR Project Officer with the Women’s Rights Institute (WORI) and with the District Gender Office in Thyolo, advancing access to reproductive health services and promoting inclusive development at the grassroots. She has also volunteered with Youth First Malawi and Life Ministry, contributing to WASH projects, and has been recognized nationally as a Young Feminist Leader and an Anti-Corruption Youth Activist.
Kuunika joined CorpsAfrica to ignite the power and potential of rural communities, working together to address challenges such as limited access to education, clean water, health services, youth unemployment, and gender inequality, aiming to create lasting, positive impact.
