Biography

Fatima Kasika is a dedicated and passionate individual with a Bachelor’s degree of Commerce in Entrepreneurship from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences(MUBAS). Her academic background has equipped her with a solid foundation in business and entrepreneurship, empowering her to drive innovation and growth.

After graduating she worked as a volunteer caseworker with World Relief Malawi under the Ultra-Poor Graduation Project, where she worked closely with ultra-poor communities in Mangochi TA Chimwala, providing support and guidance to help them improve their livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty. She focused on promoting good health and hygiene practices, supporting income-generating activities, and facilitating access to social services. These experiences have provided her with practical skills in community engagement, social work, and project implementation.

Fatima is passionate about creating positive change and empowering marginalized communities. She believes in the importance of community-led development and is committed to contributing her skills and experience to support sustainable development initiatives.

In her free time, Fatima enjoys listening to music, chatting with friends, and appreciating natural beauty. She finds solace in the simple things, and her connection to nature inspires her to continue working towards the betterment of her community.

Fatima is excited to be part of the CorpsAfrica Cohort 9 volunteers, where she looks forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals, learning from their experiences, and contributing to meaningful projects that drive positive change. She’s eager to use her skills and experience to support community-led development initiatives and empower individuals to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
