Biography

Lijat Lelekong hails from Baragoi town, Samburu County. He is a proud graduate of Kisii University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Arts (English and Literature). He is a dedicated and passionate teacher with a strong commitment to serving rural communities.

His journey of community service began at NAWIRI organization, where he worked on the Rural Appraisal Program. In this role he gained valuable experience in data collection, working closely with local communities to understand their needs and challenges. In addition to this work in Community Service, Lijat has also sharpened his teaching skills in a school setting. His experience in the classroom has equipped him with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and work with students of diverse backgrounds.

He recently joined CorpsAfrica/Kenya as a Volunteer. This role aligns with his passion for serving rural communities and making a positive impact in their lives. With his educational background, experience in community development and teaching expertise, Lijat is well-positioned to make a lasting impact in the community he will serve.
