Biography
Sophia Maina is a passionate community development practitioner with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Resource Management. She is deeply committed to empowering communities and driving sustainable change through inclusive, people-centered approaches.
As a Volunteer at Africa Inland Church Kiserian Child Development Centre, she supported caregivers through economic empowerment programs and rights awareness campaigns. She later joined Hand in Hand Eastern, where she expanded her expertise by facilitating capacity development programs to enhance the skills of community members in entrepreneurship, financial management, and income-generating activities.
Currently, Sophia is serving as a CorpsAfrica/Kenya Volunteer, where she aspires to work hand in hand with local communities to co-create sustainable solutions. By leveraging community-led development and asset-based approaches. She aims to drive meaningful change, foster resilience, and support communities in unlocking their full potential.
