Biography
Zandile Malatji is from Dennilton in Limpopo, South Africa. She holds a National Diploma in Language Practice from the Tshwane University of Technology, where she developed a strong foundation in communication, facilitation, and understanding how language connects people. Professionally, she served as an Education Assistant in the foundation phase, supporting young learners, including those with concentration challenges and learning barriers.
By creatively integrating e-learning tools into traditional lessons, she learned that patience and adapting the method can unlock potential where standard approaches fail. This experience deepened her commitment to inclusive education and to meeting every individual exactly where they are.
Her interest in community-led development grew through her interaction with Peace Corps Volunteers, where she saw firsthand the power of cultural exchange, humble service, and asset-based community development. She learned that sustainable change does not come from outsiders bringing answers, but from insiders discovering their own strengths and leading their own solutions.
Rooted in a rural community herself, she understands both the challenges and the resilience of rural life. She is passionate about education, language as a tool for empowerment, and facilitating spaces where community members feel heard and valued.
She is honoured to serve as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer to listen first, learn continuously, and serve as a catalyst for change that lasts long after her service year.
