Biography
Doris Adu Marfo hails from Apedwa, a small town in Ghana’s Eastern Region. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health, specializing in Health Promotion, from the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho, Ghana, graduating in 2019.
With over five years of experience in public health practice, research, teaching, and volunteer work, Doris is passionate about fostering positive change. She advocates for health, empowers individuals with physical disabilities, educates and supports young children, and champions climate sustainability. She also holds a certificate in Nature-Based Solutions to Disaster and Climate Resilience from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Academy and has been researching the Health-Related Quality of Life for Persons with Physical Disabilities in the Atiwa-West District since 2020.
Currently, Doris volunteers with CorpsAfrica/Ghana, where she applies her expertise alongside CorpsAfrica’s Community-Led Development strategies to achieve sustainable impact. She firmly believes in making enduring positive contributions to people, animals, and the environment.
