Biography

Martha Masengesho holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Agricultural Economics at the University of Rwanda and holds an Advanced Level Certificate in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology from Ecole de Science Musanze. Martha is passionate about agricultural development, food security, and rural economic growth.

She has gained professional experience through her internship at AGROPY LTD, where she contributed to the production of pyrethrum-based pesticides and deepened her knowledge of pest control and sustainable agriculture. Additionally, she enhanced her leadership and governance skills through short courses at the Youth Political Leadership Academy focusing on political systems, negotiation, and public speaking.

Martha is also an active member of the Agri Search Club at the University of Rwanda, engaging in agricultural research and knowledge-sharing to improve farmers’ livelihoods. Beyond her academic and professional journey, she has a strong passion for volunteering. She is currently serving with Corps Africa Rwanda in Gisagara district-Save sector, where she works closely with rural communities to address local challenges, promote sustainable development,empoweryouthandwomen.

She possesses strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in data collection and analysis, as well as computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Martha is committed to contributing toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to zero hunger, poverty reduction, and sustainable agriculture. She aspires to empower rural communities by promoting modern farming practices, improving market access, and fostering economic resilience.
