Biography
Therese P. Mendy is a passionate CorpsAfrica Volunteer, holding a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Management from the University of The Gambia. Throughout her academic career, Therese consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to education and actively engaged in activities that developed her leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Her early dedication was evident at St. Joseph Senior Secondary School, where she served as Head Girl and President of the choir, participating in singing competitions and attending high-level conferences. Therese also made a significant impact as an ambassador for the “Send My Friend to School” campaign under the Steve Sinott Foundation in the UK, advocating for “Education for All” and representing her school internationally to share and campaign for this vital cause.
After completing her university education, Therese gained professional experience as an intern at DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, where her discipline and diligent work ethic were highly commended. Beyond her professional achievements, Therese enjoys reading, staying informed, and possesses a strong desire to create impact. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Therese is eager to contribute to national development, firmly believing that collective effort is crucial for development to take place in order to make a lasting positive impact.
