Biography

Jennifer Menka is a young professional who holds a Bachelor of Public Health in Health Promotion from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).

She is passionate about health, youth empowerment, and community service. Before joining CorpsAfrica, she volunteered with SMART HUB on campus, focusing on adolescent sexual and reproductive health. She was also part of Youth for Human Rights International, where she engaged young people and educated them on their human rights.

She served as a National Service Personnel at the Kpando Municipal Health Directorate, which sharpened her facilitation and community engagement skills. In her church in Kpando, which has rural communities, she mentors teen youths and teaches children, supporting their academics, which has improved their reading and ability to speak English comfortably. As part of fun and learning activities, she moderates inter-branch quizzes.

She was inspired to join CorpsAfrica by the opportunity to learn from rural communities and be part of an African-led movement for sustainable change. Currently, she is serving in Adigbo Tornu in the Volta Region. Living in the community has deepened her understanding of rural life, and she admires how great the people are. She sees herself growing both personally and professionally through this journey.
