Biography

Hope Mathobela Mohlala embodies the meaning of her name. Born and raised in Burgersfort, Limpopo. She holds a BA in Contemporary English and Multilingual Studies and an Honours in Applied Language and Multilingual Stream from the University of Limpopo. Hope has always been driven by curiosity and compassion.

Her diverse experience in retail, hospitality, and education has shaped her into an adaptable and empathetic young leader. Passionate about uplifting communities, Hope joined CorpsAfrica/South Africa (Cohort 2) currently serving in Ga-Sekororo under Maruleng Local Municipality to turn her passion into action.

She believes in the power of unity and collaboration to create lasting change and is committed to using her skills and knowledge to empower the community she serves. “I’ve always wanted to live up to my name,” she says, “and spread hope wherever I go.”
