Biography
Reanetse Naledi Mokgautsi was born in Lenasia and raised in the Orange Farm and Soweto townships. Growing up in a marginalized community, she developed a deep interest in helping others and engaging in community work. This passion became evident after high school, when she volunteered at an organization called Love Life and later became employed as a Coding Facilitator working with all age groups and equipping them with basic computer skills and coding.
She pursued her studies at the University of Johannesburg and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies and Public Management and Governance. This degree gave her the knowledge and understanding of societal structures, social issues and Government structures along with economic and political and their role in communities and globally so.
Then she worked as a Sales Promoter at Beyond Purpose in Orange Farm promoting a local business that sells organic home and is locally sourced and volunteered as a Researcher for Vuselela Media and UNICEF during her undergraduate years, the research focused on the topic of mental health surrounding young people during covid 19. These experiences deepened her understanding of social issues, their direct impact on people and behaviours, and their broader implications for economic growth and politics.
After completing her degree in 2023, Reanetse volunteered as a Changemaker for She Evolves, a tree-planting initiative that reinforced her commitment to volunteering and driving positive change. She is currently serving as a Corps Africa Volunteer (Cohort 2) continuing her journey of impact and growth.
