Biography

Nthabiseng Morajane is a community development graduate from Cornelia, Free State. She holds a Bachelor of Community Development (NQF Level 8) from the University of the Free State. A Sesotho speaker, she is also proficient in isiZulu and English.

Her interest in community development stems from growing up in a small, underdeveloped community, where she recognised the importance of community-led initiatives in addressing local challenges and improving people’s livelihoods.

She has gained practical experience in community engagement, stakeholder communication, project planning and implementation, community profiling, needs assessments, programme development, administration, data capturing, and report writing through Work Integrated Learning placements.

Nthabiseng has served as a Community Development Intern at Maluti-A-Phofung Municipality’s Arts and Culture Office in Thabana-Tsoana and at Artcom Agency, where she supported community facilitation, programme development, and front-office operations.

One of her key achievements was designing and implementing the Community Skills Transfer Project in Phuthaditjhaba Ward 27. The project addressed unemployment by equipping community members with knitting and crocheting skills, facilitating entrepreneurship workshops, and organising product exhibitions that enabled local artisans to showcase and sell their products to generate income.

With skills in communication, leadership, problem-solving, monitoring and evaluation, and Microsoft Office, Nthabiseng is committed to supporting community empowerment and contributing to sustainable, community-driven development.
