Biography

Blessings Mtukula is a highly dedicated and motivated individual with a BSc in Irrigation Engineering from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). She served as a CorpsAfrica/ Malawi Volunteer in Mzimba District from where she facilitated community-led projects using Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approaches. Throughout her service she successfully collaborated with leaders and members of her community to enhance access to education, promote gender equality and strengthen climate resilience.

Blessings supported her community to mobilize local resources and secure a grant to complete construction of a classroom at a local primary school. This classroom now provides a safe and conducive learning environment for 46 children. She also organized menstrual hygiene workshops for adolescent girls, led tree planting initiatives and supported youth mentorship programs. Now serving as a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Exchange Volunteer, she is eager about using her skills to facilitate initiatives that create sustainable livelihoods and empower communities to become self-reliant.
