Biography
Etienne Mugisha is a Rwandan professional with a Bachelor’s degree with honors in International Relations. He served as CorpsAfrica/Rwanda volunteer cohort 6. He completed Generation Leadership Academy (GLA) Cohort 4, bringing valuable experience in community engagement and leadership.
In 2022, he completed a professional internship at the Parliament of Rwanda within the Parliamentary Diplomacy Department, further strengthening his skills in governance and international cooperation. He has also worked as Sales Manager at UZIMA Chicken from 2019 to 2021 and participated in World Connect’s Engagement, Learning, and Action training in 2025 as an Established Field Partner.
Passionate about community-led development, Etienne has successfully formed elders’ and youth savings groups, training over 150 people in financial literacy, nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation. He spearheaded integrated vegetable farming with a piggery project for youth, as well as a piggery project with elders in Remera village, Mukura sector, Huye district. He is results-driven and deeply committed to rural transformation.
