Biography

Valentine Muhawenimana is a passionate and dedicated changemaker from Nyanza District. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Rwanda, Huye Campus, where she nurtured her aspiration to promote justice, equality, and social transformation within her community. Her legal background has equipped her with strong analytical, advocacy, and leadership skills, which she now applies to grassroots development work.

Currently, Valentine serves as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica, working closely with rural communities to identify challenges and co-create sustainable solutions. Her efforts focus on education, health, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability. This role has deepened her commitment to community-led development and strengthened her belief in the power of collective action.

Valentine is particularly passionate about advancing gender equality, access to justice, and inclusive development. By combining her legal education with hands-on community engagement, she brings a unique perspective on how to advocate for systemic change while empowering individuals at the local level.

Her work aligns strongly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in promoting quality education, reducing inequalities, ensuring clean water and sanitation, and fostering peace and justice. Through her service in rural areas, Valentine has grown as a leader and reinforced her dedication to amplifying underrepresented voices.
