Biography
Born and raised in Rwanda’s scenic Rubavu District, Mukunde Lys Gabrielle has built a life dedicated to social impact, cultural understanding, and storytelling. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counselling from Bugema University in Kampala, she pursued a Master’s in Social Work at the Institute of Social Work in Dar es Salaam, deepening her expertise in human development and community service.
Driven by a passion for service, Mukunde completed a transformative year with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda in Nyamagabe District, receiving a CorpsAfrica Certificate of Completion and additional professional training from the African Management Institute. These experiences sharpened her leadership skills and strengthened her commitment to grassroots change.
An avid traveller, Mukunde has lived in three East African countries, enriching her understanding of cultural diversity and broadening her perspective on regional collaboration. Beyond social work, she is a storyteller and writer, with seven published stories on Wattpad, sharing vibrant narratives with a growing international audience.
Through education, service, and creativity, Mukunde Lys Gabrielle continues to inspire others with a life rooted in resilience, curiosity, and the power of human connection.
