Biography

Lucy Mutuamba is a Social Work and Community Development professional from Kenya with a background in Social Work and Community Development. She is the program coordinator at Youth Care Africa, where she leads initiatives that empower young people, particularly girls from underserved communities, to overcome social challenges and unlock their potential and Her experience as the former head of empowerment in Goal Quest Foundation she drafted proposals for youth empowerment programs such as Strength in Her which focuses on empowering high-schoolers and youths

Her work focuses on youth empowerment, drug abuse prevention, early pregnancy, gender-based violence, and gender equality. Through projects such as Rooted Voices and school empowerment workshops under the theme Strength in Her, Lucy has helped create safe spaces that inspire confidence, leadership, and resilience among youth.

Passionate about advancing SDG 5, she champions community-led solutions that promote inclusive leadership and sustainable change. Guided by empathy, Lucy is committed to helping young people use their voices and strengths to transform their lives and communities.
